Charitable Raffle Rules
Raffle Information:
The Main Street Bath nonprofit is hosting a charitable raffle in accordance with MRSA/1837-A. The total value of the raffle prize is to be $1,175.
Raffle Location and Timing:
The raffle tickets will be sold online at https://raffle.visitbath.com from 12:00 AM on October 10th, 2025 until 3:00 PM on November 29th, 2025.
Ticket Sales:
Tickets will be available for purchase online via the Levin Marketing Solution LLC platform (https://levinsolution.com), a State of Maine approved payment management system, from 12:00 AM on October 10th, 2025 until 3:00 PM on November 29th, 2025.
Approved Purchasers:
For online purchases, buyers must allow GPS access through the online system and physically be within the state of Maine during the transaction. Only debit cards will be accepted; credit cards and prepaid cards will not be valid. In case the platform fails to recognize the payment method, the transaction will be declined, and the purchaser will be prompted to use an approved payment method. Purchasers must be at least 18 years of age.
On-site purchases require buyers to be at least 18 years of age and payments are exclusively accepted in cash. Credit cards or checks will not be entertained.
Raffle Prize:
The raffle features one (1) Grand Prize of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750) cash and one (1) Second Prize of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) cash will be awarded. In addition, one (1) Weekly Drawing will be held each Friday at 5:00 PM from October 10 through November 28, with one (1) Twenty-Five Dollar ($25) Gift of Bath gift certificate awarded each week.
Ticket Price:
Tickets may be purchased in the following bundles through an approved payment method: $5 for 5 entries, $15 for 15 entries, $25 for 30 entries, $40 for 50 entries, or $60 for 80 entries.
Drawing:
The manual drawing to determine the grand prize and second place winners of the raffle prizes will take place at 43 Summer St, Bath, ME 04530, commencing at 3:00 PM.
Attendance at Drawing:
Winners need not be present at the drawing to claim their prizes.
Referral Program:
Participants may earn additional raffle tickets by referring others to the raffle using their unique referral link. To qualify for additional raffle tickets, the referred participant must use the unique referral link provided by the referrer when making their purchase. No tickets will be awarded for referrals that do not follow this process.
Winner Notification and Prize Forfeiture:
Potential winners will be notified by email or phone within 24 hours of the drawing. If a potential winner does not respond within 2 days from the date of the notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible or the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited. An alternate winner will be selected by random drawing.
If a winner declines the prize, an alternate winner will be selected through a random manual drawing. If the alternate winner also declines the prize, the prize will be retained by the nonprofit and will not be awarded.
Taxes and Prize Non-Transferability:
All taxes associated with the receipt of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. If a winner fails to provide a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN/SSN), the nonprofit will withhold 24 % of the prize value for federal tax purposes. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions or cash equivalents will be provided.
Publicity:
By accepting a prize, winners agree that Main Street Bath and Levin Marketing Solution may use the winner’s name, likeness, and any statements for promotional, advertising, and publicity purposes in any media without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
